REFLEXOLOLGY THERAPIST
Within my treatments I corporate several forms of reflexology to best suit you and your needs.
These include:
Ingham Method Reflexology- traditional reflexology and the underpinning of any good treatment
Chi Reflexology - a fantastically relaxing and balancing part of the treatment which aims to re-balance all the organs via the energy points they have on the feet - feels like Reiki or TaiChi on the feet.
Vertical Reflex Therapy - if necessary the client can stand up for a few minutes and the feet are treated whilst weight bearing - very good for musculo-skeletal problems.
Oriental Back Care in Reflexology and Occiptal Zones - using the Eastern understanding of how the body is reflected on the feet.
Maternity Reflexology - for fertility, pregnancy and post-natally. Reflexology is wonderfully relaxing when you are pregnant and may help you keep stress and discomfort to a minimum. After you have had the baby - come for a relaxing treatment and have some valuable time for yourself so that you can go back to your baby refreshed. Good for you - good for baby.
Precision Reflexology - this again is a balancing part of the treatment where two points are gently held and the energy felt is equalized and balanced. Used with the aim of balancing the hormones.
What can I offer you?
Having worked for a good few years
as a therapist I have to come to deeply respect the powerfully quiet
and gentle way that a person can be helped by giving time and the
expertise gained from studying these hands on and ancient methods of
working naturally with the body to help encourage a return to balance
and well being. The reduction of stress is perhaps the most important
way our therapies can help and in doing this the body can function in a
more fully healthy way at the physical, mental and emotional levels
(Please note that if symptoms persist you should always visit your medical practitioner. )
A therapist must learn to know how the body works and study to become
competent and safe whilst working, as well as learning their particular
skills; but a therapist must also like people and be able to tailor
every treatment to suit the client and give them the best chance of a
helpful outcome
This is how I work, and I particularly find that the therapy of
Reflexology is so consistently effective that it remains the core
treatment that I offer. I have also developed a Paraffin Reflex
Treatment which deeply warms the feet and hands and so helps with
circulation and pain, and in conjunction with the Reflexology treatment
it gives a deeper access to the reflexes.
Chi Reflexology - a new Reflexology method developed by Moss Arnold in
Australia - a deceptively simple balancing of the organ energy and
treatment of the meridians as they flow into and out of the feet. Deeply
relaxing for the receiver - I use these methods in many of my
reflexology treatments.

.About
me:
I qualified
as a Reflexologist in 1992 and became a
full time practicing therapist for some years. I then was offered a job as a Course Main Tutor for the
Diploma Level 3 in Reflexology at Coleg Sir Gar and worked there helping
develop their Holistic Therapies Courses for some ten years and
teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage,
Business Modules and Nutrition: I also worked for two years at
Pembrokeshire College teaching Reflexology.
After leaving the college, I started my own private school of Reflexology - now called the West Shires School of Reflexology and I have formed a close association with the Zodiac Complementary Therapy College who are based in Swansea
www.zodiactherapytraining.co.ukI expanded my private business as a therapist into a large Natural
Therapy Centre where many therapists came to work offering many types of
therapies.
Having now opened the Alliance Therapy Carmarthen I am kept even busier with practice manager duties, as well as my therapy work and teaching. I am pleased that the Centre is looking so good and is promising to be a focal point of excellence offering help and professional caring to people via a very wide range of therapies, including some that are unique in Carmarthen.
